Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Trailered, Dated, Detailed
Capcom has finally confirmed full details on the content and release of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, the stand-alone expansion to the Dragon's Dogma experience announced last year.
The expansion will include the full game as a part of the deal when bought, much like Capcom's 'Super' versions of their fighting games, but will retail at a reduced price. At £19.99/$39.99/€29.99, it's a price that should be attractive for those only wanting the new content but also those who have never purchased or played Dragon's Dogma before.
The game will arrive on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on April 23rd in North America and April 26th in Europe. It'll be available both on a disc and digitally on PS3 at launch, while 360 owners will have to make do with just a disc - but a digital release will follow at the same price point.
Dark Arisen adds the new cursed 'Bitterblack Isle,' a location packed with new enemies to battle and new treasures to find while the game's already impressive character customization will be further bolstered by Dark Arisen. Also new is a new tier of skills for each character class, over 100 new equipment items, new pawn augments, new tiers of equipment enhancement and new high-level weapons and armor.
The game also boasts one other a feature we know some people will be very happy with - an option to select the original Japanese voiceover instead of the English dub.
The original Dragon's Dogma was a pretty solid game, and this looks to be a decent sized expansion for existing players who can import their saves but an even better deal for those who never got around to the original. Check out the trailer below.
