Drakengard 3 announced for PlayStation 3
This week's Famitsu comes with a surprise - Drakengard 3 (or Drag-on Dragoon 3) has been revealed for PlayStation 3.
Details are still coming out, but we know it's an action RPG. The main character is a girl by the name of Zero, with her younger sister, One. Zero is a Songstress - a person who can manipulate magic using song. She has a flower growing in her right eye and sports an artificial left arm. Her personality is one of violence and she is easily annoyed. Zero also is a bit liberal in her relationships with men.
Her sister is also a Songstress but is completely different from Zero, whom she doesn't get along with. One is intelligent and serious.
The main missions in the game take place on ground, and the player's abilities will increase as they explosed to blood splatter. Drakengard 3 will feature high speed action, switching between dragon riding and ground combat.
The game is being spearheaded by the main staff from the original games as well as Nier:
Creative Director & Scenario: Yoko Taro (Drakengard, Nier)
Character Design: Kimihiko Fujisaka (Drakengard, Nier)
Music Director: Keiichi Okabe (Nier)
Producer: Takamasa Shiba (Drakengard)
A final release date has yet to be revealed, but the game will launch sometime in 2013.
