The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past II announced for Nintendo 3DS, Oracle titles heading to Virual Console
Nintendo has announced a sequel to 1992's The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the Nintendo 3DS.
The sequel will be set in the same world as the classic, much-loved title, but will feature a new story and an all-new set of dungeons that make use of multiple floors, the top-down perspective and the 3D effect the console has to add a twist on the classic gameplay.
The trailer shows off Link using a hammer-like item and features a rearrangement of the now-classic Zelda theme music as Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime talks about the game. A proper release date isn't confirmed, but Nintendo is aiming for a Holiday 2013 release.
Check out the first footage below - and if you want to see it in 3D, a video should be popping up on the 3DS eShop shortly.
Nintendo also confirmed that the two Game Boy Color Zelda titles, Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, are heading to the 3DS Virtual Console next month.
