New Drakengard 3 screenshots grace the launch day

To celebrate Drakengard 3's big release in Japan today, Square Enix posted over a dozen new screenshots for the game. The images show off some of the dragon-based action, the crazy-looking weapon effects, the enemies players will fight with, and more. 

Although Square Enix has yet to announce an actual release date for the West outside of a 2014 window, you can preorder the game through the Square Enix Online Store.
