Chrono Trigger DS fails to reach UK Top 40
Chrono Trigger is a game that the people of Europe have been waiting to play for a long, long time. 14 years after it's original English language release over in the states, European RPG fans finally have a chance to play the classic on the Nintendo DS - but they haven't taken to the game as well as one might think.
In its first week of charting from the UK's official Chart organisation Chart-Track, Chrono Trigger failed to get into the all Formats Top 40 - a repeat of the failures of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest IV DS in 2008.
Chrono Trigger did do a little better though, managing to grab tenth place in the Nintendo DS chart, showing some interest in the game, significantly more than the previous two European failures.
Square Enix will undoubtedly be hoping the game can hold it's 10th placement in the DS chart or perhaps even climb into the All Formats top 40 in the coming weeks.
