Persona Q is going in a dark direction

Since Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth was announced during the same presentation as Persona 5, the game raised a few eyebrows for its unique art style that is very akin to the same developer's Etrian Odyssey series. What people who have not played that series may not know is that those games can have some pretty brutal elements in terms of its story (genocide, for one) that in a way betrays the character design.

That may likely to be the direction that Persona Q appears to be headed if the second PV is any indication. Aside from the look at some of the animated cutscenes in the game, we also get another look at the classic Persona combat that was also shown off in the videos we posted a little over a week ago.

Persona Q is set to be released next year on June 5th in Japan. There has been no word of a Western release.
