Monolithsoft's X gets first uncut gameplay footage
Nintendo has debuted the first uncut gameplay footage of X, the next game from Monolithsoft as part of the company's first Nintendo Direct of 2014 tonight.
It's the first real look at gameplay for Tetsuya Takahashi and co's next game after Xenoblade Chronicles. The game was revealed last January and given another trailer at E3. Nothing has been seen on it since until tonight.
It was mentioned during tonight's Direct that X's combat would build upon that of Xenoblade Chronicles' battle system.
Get the footage below. The Japanese Nintendo Direct confirmed a 2014 release in Japan, but Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said to "stay tuned" for further updates in its western streams, putting in slight doubt a release this year elsewhere in the world.
