Final Fantasy XIV PS4 beta kicks off as system launches in Japan
Square Enix has this morning (February 22) let loose the open beta for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PlayStation 4 after the system's release in Japan today.
The beta's client was available to download earlier this week ahead of the servers opening up this morning, while players were able to dig in from 8am GMT/3am EST/12am PST/6pm Japan.
Whilst servers did seem stacked with players keen to get playing, there weren't too many waiting times to hop into the game from what I played this morning, having got in two-to-three minutes after creating my character.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn launches on PlayStation 4 worldwide on April 14.
