Final Fantasy Gaiden: Four Warriors of Light Trailer Premiere

GameTrailers.com has posted the debut trailer from the brand new spin-off title in the Final Fantasy series. Surprisingly absent are the pre-rendered cutscenes Square-Enix is famous for, but there is plenty of gameplay footage to whet one's appetite.

While most of the video features the main character running around inside of towns, the last 9 seconds gives a glimpse into what the combat will be like, which stays true to the classic Final Fantasy formula. The game also uses the same 3D engine that powered the Final Fantasy remakes on the DS.

Enhancements include a day-to-night transition on the world map and other cosmetic improvements. There will also be an all new job system labeled the "Crown System", and the ability to radically change the look of your character with different equipment.
