Compile Heart's Omega Quintet gets some battle screenshots & details
Compile Heart has released some new screenshots for PlayStation 4 Idol JRPG Omega Quintet, and details of the battle system were given in Famitsu magazine. The game is a turn-based JRPG, with the main party consisting of the five songstress girls. A turn-order gauge is listed on the right side of the screen, and as pretty typical with these systems, different attacks will have different 'delays' to when that character can act again in turn. However, each character can perform more than one action per turn, based on a counter next to their portrait. This number can increase during the course of the game.
The main protagonist, Tact, also participates in battle but as a supporting member. Each turn, one of the girls can call on him to perform a supporting move, such as a defensive skill or secondary attack. If you line your the turn-order in specific ways, Harmonic attacks can be used that involve more than one character and come in a variety of forms, such as combination attacks or party power-ups.
Omega Quintet releases on PlayStation 4 in Japan on September 18th. Check out the screenshots below.
