Final Fantasy Gaiden set for 2009 Release

Square Enix has shocked Final Fantasy fans by announcing the latest spin-off venture in the series will be launching in Japan much earlier than expected - on Oct 29, 2009.

Japanese FF Fans will be able to get their hands on the highly anticipated title which returns to traditional Final Fantasy settings and style rather than the modern exploits the series has followed in recent years.

The game sees the return of 4 characters in battle, crystals as a major plot element and a variation of the job system using 'crowns.'
