Mass Effect gets 150 Extra Achievement Points

Bioware's hit space RPG Mass Effect has had its total achievement score bumped up by 150 to 1200 in preparation of new downloadable content for the game.

The three achievements all refer to events on "Pinnacle Station", a new location that will be added in new downloadable content expected to hit this November.

The three achievements are as follows:

Undisputed (50G) - Complete Ahern's survival mission

New Sheriff in Town (50G) - Take first place in any combat scenario on Pinnacle Station

Best of the Best (50G) - Take first place in 12 combat scenarios on Pinnacle Station

The downloadable content is being released late to help tease gamers back to a refresher playthrough of Mass Effect before the second title in the series launches early in 2010. The DLC will not have an effect on saves carried over to Mass Effect 2 and has no story elements teasing for that game, though.
