Bioware releases a detailed video-walkthrough of SWTOR

Bioware and Lucas Arts have recently released a 20 minute walkthrough highlighting different aspects of the new Star Wars: The Old Republic game (SWTOR).

SWTOR will be pitted against other MMORPGs, only with new and novel additions never seen before in the MMORPG arena. This includes an immersive choose-your-own-destiny style storyline and fully voice-acted characters and NPCs with which I’m sure Bioware and Lucas Arts hope to gain a competitive edge.

The video is hosted by different Bioware employees who each provide commentary on various aspects of the game, including the Bounty Hunter, Smuggler and Sith class. The walkthrough also demonstrates the voice acting, storylines and the all important game play.

The walkthrough in particular gives an insight into the abilities that each class has. This includes flamethrowers, rockets and the ability to fly above enemies with a barrage of laser fire for the Bounty Hunters, flash bombs, rapid fire, the ability to take cover behind objects and cheap shots to your enemy’s privates for the Smuggler class and all the force powers expected for the Sith class.

In addition, the final segment of the walkthrough shows the ability for wielding more than one lightsaber. So far SWTOR looks promising, with a nice mix of story and engaging game play.
