Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem exists
And here we thought all was lost. Having been announced waaaaaay back in January 2013 during a Nintendo Direct much like the one today that recently wrapped up, Nintendo finally showed that the title wasn't abandoned as they showed off actual footage for the game (including actual gameplay) for all three regions - Japan, North America, and Europe, letting everyone know this thing is destined for an international release. Atlus will be heading up development of the title, with a story that focuses on a group of high-school kids. You'll be able to roam a city filled with places to explore and people to meet. Hidden away is a secret world where players will be able to meet important characters from the Fire Emblem series and demons from the Shin Megami Tensei series.
While the title will be available in Japan sometime later this year, Nintendo promised to share more information to those of us in the West in the coming months.
