Please Stand By: Bethesda set to announce Fallout 4
It's happening.
Bethesda will announce Fallout 4 tomorrow (June 3) at 3pm BST/10am US EST/7amĀ US PST. The publisher went live with a countdown clock earlier this afternoon (June 2) counting down to tomorrow.
The game was hugely expected to be announced at Bethesda's E3 press conference in a week-and-a-half time on June 14, but the fact Bethesda is already getting it out there beforehand is stroking the conference's fires in terms of what to expect from the game.
In addition to a countdown website, Bethesda is also teasing the countdown on its Twitch channel. You can watch along with it as well.
Developer Bethesda Game Studios will have been working on it since at least wrapping up DLC on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in 2013. Since then, it was more or less an open guess the studio was working on Fallout 4, but the question was when we'd see it? And where it'll be set.
We now know the when. The question now is where? It has been reported the game will be set in Boston, following on from 3's Washington setting and 2010's New Vegas setting of - well - Las Vegas.
Thankfully, we won't have long to wait to find out. There's always tomorrow.
