Another trio of characters revealed for Atelier Sophie
Gust has posted another update for the upcoming crafting- focused JRPG Atelier Sophie, detailing a new trio of characters and some more battle system tidbits.
The first of Sophie's new companions is Julio - a young chivalrous knight that wields a large greatsword. He is a visitor from the country of Adarett, looking into alchemy for reasons unknown.
Second is Fritz, a 51-year old former mercenary and now a traveling puppetmaster. He is known to be a very dependable person always looking to help others, and uses dual longswords in combat.
Lastly is Leon, a traveling tailor. She is extremely confident in her work, so much so that her her demeanor can sometimes rub people the wrong way. She uses a lance in battle
Gust has provided both the 2D artwork (left) and in-game model (right) for these new companions:

Many more images of the battle system were also shared. Atelier Sophie's combat puts a bit of focus on a variety of co-operative abilities. These party abilities, known as chain links, come in the form of two- and three- person combination attacks as well as party-wide healing and defensive capabilities.
