Summon Night 6: Lost Borders screenshots introduce Magna and Aty
Bandai Namco has posted new screenshots and information for Summon Night 6: Lost Borders, the strategy-RPG set to release on PlayStation 4 and Vita next year in Japan. Several returning characters from the series make an appearance in this latest title.
We are (re)introduced to Aty, who was a main character in the Japanese-only Summon Night 3 and made appearances in the 4th and 5th game as well. (She's also a solo unit in the upcoming Project X Zone 2.) The red haired swordswoman, originally found from the world Lyndbaum - where most of the series takes place - is found wandering the world of Fillujah.
Another character, Magna, is also introduced. He is the main character of Summon Night 2 and is also from the world of Lyndbaum. He is accompanied by Hasaha - also from Summon Night 2 - a guardian fox demon girl.
Several screenshots also show the tactical combat found in the game. As is common in the genre, various terrain and heights play a role in battle effectiveness, as does the various weapon types wielded by each character. Up to 8 units can be sent into battles, in addition to up to 4 summoned creatures. If allies are close to the enemy, they can perform chain attacks.
New to Summon Night 6 is 'Summon Assist', where by using the support of allies when summoning a creature, their attributes can be improved. In addition, turn order is dictated by each units individual speed stat, and it is also possible to move two units at once by using a Connect command if they are nearby.
