Valkyria Chronicles Remastered heading west for PS4 this Spring
SEGA has announced that Valkyria Chronicles Remastered is heading West, giving PS4 owners a chance to once again pick up the cult classic title that carved out a particularly feverish cult fanbase on PS3. The title's PS4 port had been previously announced for Japan, and was also recently released for the first time on Steam.
Valkyria Chronicles is a bit of a modern classic, depicting a huge war across Europe - a decidedly Western theme, here executed with Japanese art design and gameplay sensibilities. It's arguably one of the best Japanese RPGs of the last console generation.
This new PS4 rerelease runs at 1080p resolution and at 60 frames per second, features Japanese and English voice over options, adds trophies, and even throws in all the DLC released for the original game. It's to be released both digitally and physically, and will retail for $29.99.
Those in North America who pre-order the physical edition of the game or pick it up around launch will get their hands on the 'Squad 7 Armored Case', which is essentially a sweet little steelbook. Check out an image of that, the first screenshots and an announcement trailer below.
