New Final Fantasy XV screens show off Leviathan, guest characters and more

We're so perilously close to launch now that copies have actually started to actively leak, but Square Enix is still putting out regular screenshot drops for Final Fantasy XV - and this week features Leviathan, guest characters Cor and Iris, plus in-depth looks at each of the main character's special skills.

The screens were posted online by Japanese gaming site 4Gamer, and thus they're from the Japanese version of the game. We won't bother going into too much detail about what they contain since they pretty much speak for themselves, but here are the cliffnotes:

• Classic FF summon Leviathan returns. Leviathan appears from underwater and bites and chews on enemies to hurt them.
• Each of the main cast has a special ability that levels up as you play. Noctis fishes, Prompto takes photos, Ignis cooks and Gladiolus finds additional items for you after battles.
• Guest characters join the party. Cor Leonis uses his massive strength and skill in battle to help you out. Iris Amicitia counter-attacks enemies with a Moogle plush when Noctis parries attacks while she's around.
