Dragon Quest VI ships one million copies
Square Enix have announced that they have shipped one million copies of Dragon Quest VI in Japan for the first week of sales.
The Nintendo DS remake of Dragon Quest VI follows in the footsteps of the remakes of Dragon Quest IV and V as well as the all-new Dragon Quest IX in shifting millions of copies on Nintendo's handheld machine in Japan in the first week.
The game is a complete overhaul of the original, with new dialogue, graphics, remastered music and even new DS-specific modes. A Western release has been confirmed with the subtitle "Realms of Reverie", but a date is unannounced.
