Check out the first raw gameplay footage for Code Vein

Today during E3 2017, Bandai Namco released the first actual gameplay video of Code Vein, the new action RPG from the team that brought us God Eater.

Here's a synopsis of the story:

In the not too distant future, a mysterious disaster has brought collapse to the world, as we know it. Towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves of humanity’s past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment. At the centre of the destruction lies a hidden society of Revenants called Vein.

This final stronghold is where the remaining few fight to survive, blessed with Gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood. Give into the bloodlust fully and risk becoming one of the Lost, fiendish ghouls devoid of any remaining humanity.

The trailer shows a basic look at the combat itself and the different weapons and skills you'll be able to use.

Code Vein is set to be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC worldwide sometime in early 2018. You can find some more details right over here.
