New Ni no Kuni 2 interview reveals kingdom building, multiplayer
Bandai Namco released a video interview today with Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino that went over a number of features of the upcoming Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom.
Perhaps most notable is the inclusion of a kingdom building feature, something that fans of Level-5 games may recognize existing in some form in other titles in their library including Dark Cloud and White Knight Chronicles (a game we don't really talk about that often).
While he didn't really expand on the discussion regarding the Georama-like inclusion, the fact it exists will mean plenty of interesting content for the upcoming JRPG.
The same goes for his brief mention of multiplayer features, where other human players will be able to participate in "various capacities." Does he mean helping you build the town, join in battles, share equipment? There weren't any real details in the video. For now, enjoy an interesting chat with an important industry figure.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 and PC on November 10 in North America and Europe. In the meantime, you can check out Andrea's impressions of the E3 2017 demo.
UPDATE (7/13/17): In a new press release, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino has cleared up the misunderstanding by stating there will not be a multiplayer component in the game.
