Shenmue III Gamescom teaser trailer shows its first real gameplay

After many months of demo reels and concept art, developer Ys Net has finally revealed the first teaser trailer for their highly-anticipated sequel, Shenmue III ahead of Gamescom this week. 

This comes on the heels of the announcement they secured Deep Silver as a publishing partner, indicating this pipe dream will soon become a reality.

Showcasing a small piece of the gameplay that will be featured in the entire experience, we get a good look at the main characters of the story along with an idea of what the environment will be like.

Those new character designs will take some getting used to and the models are clearly a work-in-progress, but visually, the world looks pretty darn good.

Shenmue III is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 and PC sometime in the second half of 2018.
