Yakuza Studio will have a live stream for its newest titles on August 26
Ryu ga Gotoku Studio, who is behind the Yakuza series of games, will host a live stream covering the release of its newest titles on August 26 at 19:00 JST. The event will feature studio producer himself, Toshihiro Nagoshi. It is currently unknown if they will openly discuss about the series' future plans.
The series used to have a spotty localization record until late 2015 when Sega localized Yakuza as a digtial-only title, three years after its Japanese release. With Yakuza 0 released earlier in the year, Yakuza Kiwami's recent release (which we thought was great), and the announcement of Yakuza 6's western release in March 2018, it seems the serie's future in the West is a lot more stable these days. Sega also expressed their desire to port the series to the PC, which will hopefully be discussed in the live stream.
