Fire Emblem Warriors confirms Elise as a playable character
Koei Tecmo's Team Ninja leader Yosuke Hayashi has confirmed another playable character for Fire Emblem Warriors. At today's Famitsu special live stream on celebrating their 1500th magazine issue, Hayashi made a world premiere reveal that Elise, the youngest child in the Kingdom of Nohr in Fire Emblem Fates, is confirmed in the game's character roster. Elise will use magic while being mounted on a horse, which would make her moveset similar to her brother Leo, but she will have different, more cutely-themed special attacks.
Of course, with only Elise getting announced here, it begs an obligatory question from the Fire Emblem Fates fanbase: Where are Sakura (Elise's Hoshidan counterpart) and Azura (the key heroine character of Fates)? We are not alone on this, as many Japanese fans also asked the same question in stream comments. Hayashi did notice the questions and addressed to look forward to next week's Weekly Famitsu magazine, which will be officially published at Thursday midnight on September 7 in Japan.
Fire Emblem Warriors will be released for Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS on September 28 in Japan, and October 20 in North America and Europe. Hayashi had also assured in the stream that the game is going gold and should not get any delays. In the meantime, you can read our coverage of the previous Famitsu information batch right here.
