Final Fantasy XIV playable with new trailer at VanaFest 2010
Square Enix is holding VanaFest 2010, this year's edition of an official meet-up for players and fans of Final Fantasy XI. As well as the usual festivities reported over in our VanaFest news story, Square Enix also showed off a new trailer for its successor, Final Fantasy XIV, as well as having demo stations allowing fans to play the 'Alpha' version of the game.
The version of the game playable at the event will be quite a way from completion, but the new trailer showed off a party battling a Malboro - a traditional FF enemy - and was in English. It'll probably be released onto the web soon.
People at the show will recieve beta codes for Final Fantasy XIV, and the Registration Website for the open beta will open on March 11th. We're not sure how this relates to the registration website previously opened in the West.
We'll try to find out a bit more from Square Enix and grab the new trailer as soon as we can, so stick with us.
