The Last Story storyboards show off battle system

The latest update to the official Nintendo website of Mistwalker RPG The Last Story shows off exactly how some aspects of the in-game battle work via a series of lightly annotated storyboards.

The storyboards feature a mage character and the main character combining attacks to make an 'enchanted sword' combination attack as well as the main character using an ability to draw enemy attention away from the mage while he charges spells.

In the storyboards, pictured below, blue arrows represent enemy line of sight. It appears that enemies will focus on the character they perceive to be the most threat and it'll be important to distract them from attacking weaker characters such as mages.

The storyboards go further to suggest the game will not be strictly traditionally turn-based as Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon were while also confirming that Chrono Trigger-style dual attacks will be present, also.
