Atelier Lydie & Suelle gets a second trailer, returning NPCs detailed
Gust has posted the second main trailer for Atelier Lydie & Suelle: Alchemists of the Mysterious Paintings, showcasing everything from animated scenes, to characters, to combat and crafting. The developer also posted a new set of screenshots featuring returning NPC characters from the Atelier series.
Three more NPCs are introduced in the screenshot batch, each returning from previous entries in the series. Corneria returns from Atelier Sophie, where she can duplicate items for a price. The cheerful Hagel from the Arland trilogy of games also makes an appearance, working the blacksmith shop. The ever-mysterious Pamela, who has appeared in numerous games, also shows up once again selling a variety of items at the church.
The screenshots also show more gameplay elements such as item creation, requests, and combination arts, previously detailed in magazines.
Atelier Lydie & Suelle is set to release on December 21 in Japan, March 27 in North America, and March 30 in Europe. You can find some gameplay videos here and the localization announcement and limited edition details here.
