Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation slated for mid-January release in Japan
SEGA's official Twitter posted an update on the status of Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation, stating that this mobile title will receive a mid-January release in Japan. It was reported that the release was pushed back due to player feedback from the beta that had taken place.
This iteration of the Shin Megami Tensei series follows the Protagonist(he or she) and a group known as the "Liberators," a secret organization that works to protect the world. This new title will have features unique to the series such as Demon Negotiation and Demon fusion to acquire better summons as you combat the "Acolytes," a group that follows their own philosophies and motivations. A unique feature has been added to this title in the form of 3D dungeons which players can explore.
Currently a pre-registration campaign is taking place on the official Japanese Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation website. Similar to other mobage, the campaign features an assortment of items and unique rewards that will be gifted to players upon launch when conditions are met. As it stands, all but one pre-registration reward will be available as over 400,000 people have pre-registered thusfar.

Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation will release on iOS and Android and will be free to download and play, but will contain micro transactions. This mobile title will be available to download sometime in mid-January to Japanese audiences.
