Final Fantasy XIV Patch 4.2 'Rise of a New Sun' Launches January 30

During today’s Letter from the Producer Live broadcast, Square Enix posted the trailer for Final Fantasy XIV update 4.2 'Rise of a New Sun', which will release on January 30. You can check out the trailer below, which also features a familiar face right near the end..

Square Enix also posted more details on additions included in the update, such a new Fashion Report mini-game for the Gold Saucer, a new interface and new instruments for the Performance feature, and new mounts to collect. You can find more info and several screenshots for Rise of a New Sun here.

Fashion Report

“A mysterious masked gentleman has come to the Gold Saucer and is issuing challenges - of the fashion variety. From combinations to colors, can you coordinate your way into his heart? Or will his barbed tongue leave your pride in shreds? Join heads with your fellow adventurers and strive for the heights of fine fashion!”

Performance Actions Update
