Dandara is releasing on the PS4, PC, and Switch this February

A new stylish RPG platformer is arriving on the Playstation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch on February 6. It's called Dandara, and you can take a look at its side-scrolling pixelated action gameplay in a new trailer below.

The protagonist, Dandara, is a heroine born from the Crib of Creation into the world of Salt — a once peaceful, dreamlike place now wracked with oppression. Under threat by the Eldarian Army, Dandara must travel and fight to bring order to this directionless world.

She is interestingly based on a real-life Afro-Brazillian heroine from the 17th century who fought to save her people from similar circumstances. The game also has a lot of references based on the developers' hometown of Belo Horizonte in Brazil. Other than the flashy and vibrant gameplay, this certainly makes the game even more intriguing to look forward to.
