A Record of Grancrest War game is coming to PlayStation 4

Bandai Namco has just announced that they are going to release a video game based on Ryo Mizuno's currently ongoing title Record of Grancrest War, and has published its first trailer which you can watch below. This game will be a Strategy RPG where players can give movement orders to characters in Theo Cornaro and Siluca Meletes' army before the battle begins and all characters move at the same time. Players can even observe each character and see how the battle unfolds in real time.

If you're taking a guess from the similar title, then yes, Ryo Mizuno is also known to have created the classic title Record of Lodoss War, and Bandai Namco makes use of that connection by announcing that the early purchase bonus for Grancrest will be a serial code that adds the hero and heroine of Lodoss, Parn and Deedlit, as playable characters in this game.

Record of Grancrest War will be released for PlayStation 4 in Japan on June 14.
