Check out the intro cinematic for BattleTech before it launches

We are counting down the days until the release of BattleTech, the upcoming turn-based tactical mech combat game from developer Harebrained Schemes (Shadowrun Returns) and publisher Paradox Interactive. To whet our appetites until then, they have shared the intro cinematic for the game!

You get a pretty good idea of what the story is about, even if it goes for the oft-used moving graphical novel style so many have used in the past several years. It also falls back to the traditional sci-fi plot where mankind leaves earth to colonize the stars but end up waging war instead.

But that's not important - what is important is that it sets up the history of the BattleTech universe so you're prepared for its release. After all, this is based on a popular tabletop series, so it's nice to have a good idea of what to expect!
