Shoumetsu Toshi new project announced, uses Unreal Engine 4

During an event held just moments ago, Wright Flyer Studios announced that a new 3D project in their popular Shoumetsu Toshi (or Annihilation City) series in Japan is currently under production and will be built using Unreal Engine 4. Along with a story-driven narrative, it will feature a healthy influx of RPG elements.

For those unaware, Shoumetsu Toshi tells the story of a young girl named Yuki who has mysterious powers along with a courier named Takuya. It appears they are the only two survivors left after all the citizens of a major metropolis suddenly disappear. After discovering a set of instructions left by Yuki's father, the two decide to investigate what actually happened, which could leave them to a conspiracy concocted by a secret organization.

Along with the news about the new project, Wright Flyer Studios revealed a concept video:

Finally, the series will be receiving an anime adaptation with the original cast from the smartphone game reprising their roles. Animation will be handled by studio MADHOUSE, while Pony Canyon will take care of the music production. Here is a key visual for that project:
