NieR: Automata has surpassed 3 million shipments and downloads worldwide

The Japanese official PR Twitter account for NieR series has today announced that the PlayStation 4 and Steam game NieR: Automata has surpassed 3 million copies of physical shipments and digital downloads combined worldwide.

In related news, the PR account also announced that the NieR: Automata team from Square Enix's 6th Business Division had yesterday received an award from the Square Enix President Awards 2018.

NieR: Automata was first released for PlayStation 4 in Japan on February 23, 2017, with North America following on March 7 and Europe on March 10. The Steam version was then released on March 17. Square Enix previously announced 1 million shipments & downloads for the game in April 2017 and 2 million in September.
