Bethesda officially announces next-generation Starfield
Near the end of Bethesda's E3 2018 press conference, the studio announced their first new IP in over 20 years, Starfield. Originally spotted via a trademark application way back in 2013, the new single-player title finally saw the light of day today, over 5 years later.
Starfield was announced as a single-player, next-generation title, the first new IP out of Bethesda in over two decades. Other details are very sparse at the moment, but in the same presentation that saw Fallout shift completely to multiplayer experience, it's good to also see a continuing focus on single-player experiences as well.
Details on Starfield are less than sparse at the moment. We like the ideas of space, single player, and next-gen. Presumably an RPG (or RPG-focused) as well, so we're definitely glad that it's real, and we hope to see more in the coming months and years.
