Compile Heart reveals Azur Lane Crosswave for PlayStation 4
Yostar held a special live stream today to celebrate Azur Lane's first anniversary in Japan. In this stream, they made a big surprise that the popular mobile shooting RPG game is finally getting a console game adaptation as Azur Lane Crosswave, which will be coming to PlayStation 4.
According to the Japanese official website, Azur Lane Crosswave will have Advancing Naval Battle RPG as its genre and players will control the ship girl characters to shoot enemy ships and aircraft. It will have a different story from the original Azur Lane and will even feature new ship girls that haven't appeared in the original mobile game yet.
Crosswave is being developed by Felistella using Unreal Engine 4 and will be published by Compile Heart. It's not a surprise to see Compile Heart handling this PS4 game adaptation, as Azur Lane has had a collaboration with Hyperdimension Neptunia beforehand.
Compile Heart has also published the promotion trailer for Azur Lane Crosswave, which you can watch right below.
Azur Lane Crosswave will be released for PlayStation 4. A release timeframe has not been revealed yet. Although an English localization for Crosswave is not confirmed yet either, the original mobile game has been available in English for North America, Europe, Australia & New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.
