Mass Effect 2 to get release in Japan this Winter

Microsoft were confirming a bunch of big games coming to their system in Japan at their Japanese-specific 2010 Media Briefing that's taking place ahead of the Tokyo Game Show, but one of the less-noticed announcements is about a game we've had for a while now - Mass Effect 2.

Microsoft confirmed that EA and Bioware have been preparing the blockbuster Western Action RPG - our highest scoring game so far this year - for a Japanese release some time this winter. That could be late this year or early next. Being a Microsoft Press Conference, there was no mention of the newly announced PS3 version, which lands in the West in January 2011. 

It also wasn't confirmed if the game would be completely dubbed into Japanese or merely subtitled. More details are likely to surface at EA's TGS Press Conference, which takes place before the show proper. We'll bring you the latest as we get it, as always.
