Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet - Dissonance of the Nexus DLC out in the west on January 18
Bandai Namco has previously revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2018 that Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is getting a new fourth major expansion DLC titled Dissonance of the Nexus (or known in Japan as Songstress of the Snowfield). Today, they have just revealed a bit more details about this DLC including its release date, courtesy of Dengeki Online from the Autumn Dengeki Festival, which has just been held today in Japan to celebrate Dengeki Bunko's 25th anniversary.
As reported previously, Dissonance of the Nexus will add Sachi as the most wanted character as requested by fans in a recent voting poll. However, it turns out that she is not the only new character to be added to this DLC as three more characters have also just been confirmed to be added, which are Yuna, Eiji, and Seven.
This fourth expansion DLC will add an after-story featuring Sachi that takes place after the main story has ended. It also adds a new Snowfield-themed field along with more new features that will be detailed at a later time.
Bandai Namco also revealed that in November 2018, Fatal Bullet will receive another free title update patch that adds more online features: Dungeon Co-Op and Boss Rush modes for Online Co-Op, and more characters for the Hero Battle online versus mode in Death Gun and Lievre. They also held an original avatar design contest in Japan, where they announced in the results that Fatal Bullet will have one of its winning designs, Shiki, as a new bounty player.
A public demo version is also going to be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November through PlayStation Store and Xbox Live respectively. This demo lets players try out the game up to Chapter 2 and character level 30. Online Co-Op and Versus modes are also available here, albeit with some limitations.
The fourth DLC pack for Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, Dissonance of the Nexus (a.k.a. Songstress of the Snowfield in Japan), will be released on January 17, 2019. While this game has been released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam, Bandai Namco is going to re-release it with a Complete Edition on the same day in Japan. In addition to that, a Nintendo Switch version of Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Complete Edition has been recently announced as well.
Update: Bandai Namco has confirmed both Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet - Dissonance of the Nexus and Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Complete Edition will be arriving in the west on January 18, 2019. We have updated the video embed above with the English version.
