God Eater 3 reveals 8-player Assault Mission co-op mode, limited action demo available in Japan from October 13 to 21
At today's God Eater live stream held in Japan, Bandai Namco has revealed details of God Eater 3's limited action demo. If you have a Japanese Sony Entertainment Network account, you can download the demo right away at the Japanese PlayStation Store. This demo will be available to play from October 13 until October 21, although it should be noted that the times are based on Japan's timezone (UTC+9).
In this demo, you can check out the Character Creation system to design your own avatarĀ and try out missions that let you fight Barbarius, Habakiri, and Anubis respectively. However, the save data in this demo cannot be brought over to the full game.
While God Eater games have been known for the 4-player co-op system, Bandai Namco also revealed that God Eater 3 will have a new type of mission that can be played by up to 8 players at once, known as Assault Suppression Missions. These missions will be very hard as players are only given 5 minutes to beat the target Aragami, but even if the mission ends in failure, everyone will still be able to get some rewards.
While Assault Suppression Missions are going to be available at a later point in the full game, players of the demo will be able to check out how the missions play like when a new mission is unlocked on the last two days of the demo (October 20 & 21).
Bandai Namco Entertainment America also provided a clip from the live stream recording showcasing the Assault Mission mode, which you can check out below.
The full release of God Eater 3 will come first to PlayStation 4 in Japan on December 13. The international release, which includes a PC Steam release and is also recently confirmed to have a dual audio option, will be out later in early 2019.
