Dissidia 012 duodecim Confirmed for Western Release in 2011

Square Enix Europe has just announced that the sequel to Dissidia: Final Fantasy will be landing in European and American PSPs at some point in 2011.

That's a vague release window, but we at least now know that it's definitely coming. The title will officially be written as follows in Europe: Dissidia 012 [duodecim] Final Fantasy. Figure that out.

Square Enix's Press Release actually goes to some lengths to explain the title. "The title refers to the '12th Battle' (duodecim means 12 in Latin), a new war between Cosmos and Chaos." The war will require "new allies both good and evil" to join the battle, while the game itself will add new game modes, story missions, items, alternate costumes and combat features to the Dissidia universe.
