Atlus to release 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Prologue in Japan on March 14
Atlus has revealed in Japan that they are going to release 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Prologue to let players have a sneak peek of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Vanillaware's long-anticipated adventure game which features 13 protagonists. As the title suggests, this prologue edition will have the prologue stories for all 13 characters with around 3 hours of gameplay time. However, there is no feature that lets players transfer save data from the prologue edition to the upcoming full game.
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Prologue will be sold on March 14, both in digital and physical bundles. The digital version, which will be available at PlayStation Store and priced at 980 yen plus tax (roughly $9.99), comes with two original PS4 themes and a set of avatars. The physical bundle, which is priced at 2980 yen plus tax (roughly $29.99), adds a 36-page visual book and a mini soundtrack CD that contains 10 BGMs from the game. The upcoming Japanese PS4 re-releases of Odin Sphere Leifthrasir and Dragon's Crown Pro will also come with a serial code to download 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Prologue.
The full version of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim will be released for PlayStation 4, but currently its release timeframe has not been set in stone. It was originally due for release in 2018 along with a PlayStation Vita version, but Atlus announced in November last year that they canceled the Vita version and delayed the game indefinitely.
