Final Fantasy IX launches today for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, Final Fantasy VII coming on March 26

During today's Nintendo Direct presentation Square Enix revealed the release dates for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One versions of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy IX, the first time either game has been available on either a Microsoft or Nintendo console.

A stealth launch, Final Fantasy IX is now available for the above platforms for $20.99. Fans don't have to wait too long for Final Fantasy VII, which is set to release on the same platforms on March 26.
