Characters
White Cat: A Monstrum whose activity in Barduk is as a chivalrous thief who steals gold from the rich and shares them with poor people who live in the slums. Seems to frequently communicate with citizens, and casually displays flashy performances in the city. Excels in speedy blunt attacks that make use of the cat-like flexible body.
- White Cat's fighting style: Martial Arts
- White Cat's superpower action: Heavens Run - Can climb up walls by running on them
- (Note from Kondo-san himself: White Cat's origins such as real name and gender are still unknown.)
Hawk: A Monstrum who is known as "Heaven's Punishment", he works on the street killers in the city. Not only does he have a bad drinking habit, he is also a violent battle maniac who not only accepts challenges from others but also even causes commotions on his own. The least cooperative Monstrum in Barduk, even other Monstrums have trouble managing his behavior.
- Hawk's fighting style: Twin Swords
- Hawk's superpower action: Hunter Glide - Can grow wings and glide from a high place for a long time.
You can see both of these characters in action in recently released live-stream footage.
New Location: Barduk Prison
The largest prison facility in the Romun Empire, located at the deepest part of the city. It used to be a fortress defending the borders, but currently, it has been massively reconstructed into a prison. Its only entrance is through the single drawbridge at the front. Surrounded by steep walls of rock and deep moat, it is said that escaping from this prison is impossible. In the past, it used to hold people who criticized the Romun Empire in custody as political prisoners, so citizens do not really have a good impression on the prison.
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is set to release for PlayStation 4 in Japan this Fall.
