Koei Tecmo announces Fairy Tail RPG from Gust Studios

Koei Tecmo today announced Fairy Tail RPG, planned to launch worldwide in 2020 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The game is being developed by Gust Studios, most known for the Atelier series of RPGs, alongside titles like Nights of Azure and Blue Reflection.

Based on the popular shonen manga/anime, Fairy Tail RPG is the first major console game from the series to see a Western release, and it is being supervised by the original author Hiro Mashima.

A short teaser trailer can be viewed below, alongside a description via Koei Tecmo. More details about the game will be revealed during Tokyo Game Show 2019, which opens on September 12.

Demons, dark wizards, dragons, and cats – players will find it all as they start your journey in the land of Fiore. In FAIRY TAIL, wizards play through the adventures of Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia, as well as other eccentric members of the FAIRY TAIL mage guild, on a fun-filled and thrilling quest. GUST Studios is creating the game under the supervision of author Hiro Mashima, promising a faithful recreation for the FAIRY TAIL world and its unusual inhabitants; including everything from magic to its iconic characters.

While more information about the game’s release will be revealed next week at Tokyo Game Show 2019, KOEI TECMO America released a thrilling new trailer showcasing the fiery and intense magical battles players can experience when they join the FAIRY TAIL guild. FAIRY TAIL will be available in 2020 on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC via Steam®.
