SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays third trailer reveals DLC from Gundam X, Turn A Gundam, and Gundam AGE
Bandai Namco has published the third major promotion trailer for SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays today in Japan. Although the main parts of the trailer mostly showed snippets of event and battle scenes, as well as game features that have been known so far, the ending segment revealed new information regarding DLC currently under development that will be available post-release.
You can catch up on the game's information with the following articles:
- Two types of group composition: Warship Group and Raid Group
- Unit and character enhancements with new Ability Get feature
- Custom characters, Custom BGM, and Sub Flight System
- Group Dispatch feature and QoL improvements from past games
- Accessing Situation Tour mode and triggering Historic Moments inside story stages
The new DLC revealed at the trailer will be particularly related to the Group Dispatch feature. Bandai Namco has so far announced four sets of additional Dispatch Operations that will be sold monthly from December 2019 to March 2020. These operations will come with a number of requirements, which if satisfied will allow the player to obtain new characters, mobile suits, BGMs, abilities and more. One may also opt to purchase a Season Pass that lets them get all sets along with an exclusive Dispatch Operation to obtain Option Parts that mainly increase a mech unit's movement range.
The first set, which is slated for release in December 2019, will reward some of the characters and units from titles not featured in the base game, namely After War Gundam X, Turn A Gundam, and Mobile Suit Gundam AGE. The MS and characters that are confirmed to be added so far are the Gundam X piloted by Garrod Ran, Turn A Gundam with Loran Cehack, and Gundam AGE-1 by Flit Asuno.
SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays will be released for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on November 28 in Japan and Asia. An English localization will also be available in Southeast Asia.
