Persona 5 Scramble - 2nd Morgana Report Trailer reveals more gameplay features
Atlus has published the second of Morgana Travel Report trailers that provide first-hand information for Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers. After the first trailer revealed the basic premise, key characters, and the first area in Shibuya, Tokyo, this new trailer adds more details to the gameplay system while highlighting the second area in Sendai city.
The trailer mainly reveals that the alternate worlds in this game are called Jails rather than Palaces of the original RPG. However, Jail areas will still have gimmicks that need to be solved in order to progress forward. When not in battles, you can access the main shop from Sophia's app inside Joker's smartphone, or visit physical shops in the game's real-world that sell region-exclusive items.
It also showed more details on the gameplay system, including a new Band system that applies buffs to all party members. You can unlock the buffs after gathering Band Points from beating enemies or progressing through the storyline. There are also Master Arts, new attacks that will be gradually added to the character's move set as they are used more often in battles.
And a couple of characters that will play important roles in the Sendai arc of the story are also introduced. Ango Natsume (voiced in Japanese by Daisuke Kishio) is a popular light novel writer known for his famous work titled "Prince of Nightmare". When the Phantom Thieves eat at a restaurant, they will also meet Kuon Ichinose (voiced by Yoko Hikasa), a lady who is a big fan of beef tongues.
Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers will be available for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch first in Japan on February 20, 2020. An English localization has yet to be announced.
