The Outer Worlds getting story DLC in 2020

The Outer Worlds was nominated for four categories at The Game Awards, though it did not win any of those categories. Despite this, the developer took a moment to thank their fans on their official forums and left a little tease within their appreciation post.

However, the journey isn't over yet as we are excited to announce that we will be expanding the story through DLC next year! Details will be made available at a later date.

We were generally fond of The Outer Worlds in our review, though criticized some of the presentation. While the game feels largely complete with no obvious storyline elements left unexplored, there are a couple of planets in the colony map that are yet-to-be explored, so perhaps we'll have a chance to see those in the DLC.

More details yet to come. A Nintendo Switch version of The Outer Worlds is set to release next year, as well as a Steam PC release.
