Yakuza: Like a Dragon latest information reveals more party characters and the Sujimon feature
Sega has published even more screenshots and a new trailer for Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which will be released in East Asia in less than a month. The trailer mainly revealed that two of the game's key characters will be available to join Ichiban Kasuga's party.
Joon-gi Han, who first appeared in Yakuza 6, is one of the new party characters. His default job is Hitman, an assassin who uses a knife and pistol. The other party character is Tianyou Zhao, with a default job of Mafia, a martial artist who fights with a Chinese Sword.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon will also see the return of more legacy Yakuza key characters such as Kiryu Kazuma, Goro Majima, and Taiga Saejima. They are so far confirmed to appear as bosses that can be fought by Kasuga's party, although there is still no confirmation on whether they will also be available as party characters or not.
The other highlighted feature of this week's coverage is Sujimon, which is another term for Yakuza. In this game, this feature also serves as a reference to a certain famous monster-collecting RPG series. After starting this sidequest by talking to the Sujimon Professor, you will fight the first three of 252 dangerous people that can be registered to the Sujimon dex, which will record information such as their locations, elemental weaknesses, and dropped items.
Finally, Like a Dragon will have even more side stories to enjoy, such as one involving a gigantic cleaning robot and another where Kasuga has to deal with a rampaging circus bear. You can find the latest trailer and screenshots right below.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be released first for PlayStation 4 in Japan and East Asia on January 16. The Western localization will follow later in 2020. You can also see more screenshots in last week's coverage where they explained about the Survive Bar and Dragon Kart features.
