Monster Hunter World: Iceborne future updates to add Alatreon, Master Rank Kulve Taroth, and Arch-Tempered Namielle
Capcom has today published the 5th Developer Diary for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, which is also available in English. This video reveals more details on the additional contents that have been previously teased in the update roadmap.
The impending update that adds two variant monsters Raging Brachydios and Furious Rajang, along with new armor sets related to both of them, will be available soon on March 23. This update also adds a weapon augmentation feature that lets you change the weapon's looks without altering its stats and a new Banishing Ball item that can be thrown by the leader player at a monster to force it to immediately leave the Guiding Lands. You can see more details for the additional features, along with more bug fixes, on Capcom's official webpage.
The next update in April, where the PC version is expected to catch up with console versions, will add an event quest against Master Rank Kulve Taroth where players will have to actually slay it instead of just breaking its horns, and also another quest against Arch-Tempered Namielle. It will also add more weapon customization features as you will be eventually able to swap out almost any weapon visuals including those from unique weapons. The next seasonal event called Full Bloom Fest, which has quests that let you craft exclusive flower-themed armor sets, will also be held around the time of this update.
Finally, the Developer Diary also revealed the fan-favorite monster that will be added to Iceborne. Alatreon - the powerful monster that first appeared in Monster Hunter Tri - will make its appearance at Iceborne in the May update.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. It has recently shipped over 5 million units including digital sales. You can also read our reviews for the console and PC versions separately.
